A troll in central...nowhere

I actually spent a couple hours on this one(mostly the shading of the upper lip). Upon second review, he reminded me of a mix between Shrek and Scooby Doo....maybe its just me. Anyways, it's supposed to be a troll. I was just practicing the lighting and the sub-surface scattering on his ears mainly.

It's been a while, I started my design job at Grand Canyon University, so now I have to plan time to sketch more, which is good and bad. Here are some new images just trying different things.
